Somethings to put on your Holiday Wish List!
- Now I know it's Christmas in July... but the Brand New Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog came out in June, so there you have it.... I officially moved Christmas in July to Christmas in June for this year! :)
Why wait until November or December to start writing YOUR Holiday Wish List for your loved ones or worse don't tell anyone what you like and can use. Bad idea... why do we do this!?!?!?
Since the New Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog just came out in June, sit down and write a list of what you would LOVE to have. Let go of that bad habit, of what ever you get will be fine, or I'll like... bull! LOL We all know that! Been there done that!!!
How often have you pick somethings out for others or received things you didn't like or couldn't use? Some gifts can't be returned. Some people choose to re-gift them. Watch out you may get it back two years later!! What a hoot if you did, don't you think?
I got the blue kitchen glasses my SIL gave my MIL two years ago. I remember these glasses because I told my MIL, those glasses go with my dishes not yours... [big grin]... and she hugged them and said, they are mine.... [giggle]...
Two years later, I open up a Christmas present and walla, there were the blue glasses. Now I normally don't have a good memory, and I'm sure that is what she was counting on... but these blue glasses I did remember.... how funny is that! Hum, so now we know where the 're-gifted' gifts go, UP into the attic until they are given again........ YIKES!
And NO I did not say anything to my MIL! She's a wonderful person!
This Holiday Season, let's spend our money wisely and purchase things we know others can use! Do you know how you can do that? A sure thing is a Gift Certificate. Some think it's impersonal, but I disagree. They get to 'choose' exactaly what they want... If you know or ask where they shop and what they like.... you've got it made! I ask my family now, that way everyone is happy and gifts can be enjoyed! I really thought that was the point of a gift!?!??! Am I wrong?
If you are (still - giggle) reading this, you probably are a stamper, so why not get Stamping Supplies for yourself? Now there's a no brainer!
I've had children, husbands and friend's friends purchase gift certificates for their friends & loved ones! I think that is so thoughtful and cool!
